Biography - Arc II
He is later seen with Eclavdiira'olin dragging Cas'nihlus to be tortured by Rafal'za. After that, he was tossed into a cell with Lythn, Woas'ned and Thral'lin to be executed on Kyuusei's orders, but Belph'aegor frees them.
Following the earlier mistreatment and betrayals, Mal makes good on his vow to rejoin the Dutan'vir and answers Minka's call to reclaim the Dutan'vir ancestral home. Unfortunately, the Kyorl'solenurn see the Dutan'vir as a threat and quickly move to crush the clan yet again. Though the Dutan'vir put up a respectable fight, the battle is ultimately lost when the Kyorl'solenurn manage to collapse one of the fortress' towers onto the district below, causing great loss of life. After the surrender, he is seen amongst the captured survivors.
He would likely have faced execution, were it not for the timely ascension of Anahid as Holy Mother. Following a more progressive and forgiving path, Anahid returns the Dutan'vir lands and frees those captured in the battle. With the immediate crisis averted and their newfound peace, he joins the others of his clan in rebuilding.
