- This wiki is very much under construction. The original wiki was set to be shut down and the wiki was largely mirrored to a Fandom-based version, though most of the reference images had not yet been copied over. This migration was put on hold when it appeared the original wiki could in fact be retained, however the old wiki was lost in its entirety when the server was among the many taken down by a massive series of cyberattacks on data centers during early February, 2023. It is now being rebuilt with the launch of Hel. Sorry if it's a little messy right now!

A female member of the Order of Serenity and Chirinide's and Shan's travel companion.

Appearance & Personality

Myou is a young female drowussu who is somewhat tall of stature, with shoulder-length pale brown hair. She wears a white coat over a blue sweater and dark slacks. She is well educated, kind and a believer of the Order of Serenity's teachings.

Biography - Arc I

Myou was captured by Halmes while gathering materials for the outpost and sent to Nagyesced to be sacrificed to a blood ritual[1]. Ariel Val'Sarghress releases Faen'arae Val'Sullisin'rune and several captives held along with her, and Myou volunteers to follow, having become a sort of translator for Freyja van Niroenir. Myou explains that the Vanir language is not so different from Dokkalfar.

The Journey North

When Chirinide volunteers to take Freyja and a group of freed Light Elven slaves to Freyja's homeland, Myou does the same and continued to serve as a translator and battle companion during their journey to Vanaheimr[2]. They travel for a while, then eventually run across a group of Halmes hunting down elves across the land. Myou translated for a group of freed light elves she was previously held with in the Halme prison, speaking of one female who got separated from the group during the chaos. Myou herself keeps Freyja company--the young Vanir serving as guide to her homeland, Myou acts as her personal translator to ensure the group is going the right direction, as well as describing the girls' homeland[3].

As they approach the border with Vanaheimr, Freyja explains (through Myou) that the border between nations is constantly contested, with raids on newly sprung up Halme villages happening frequently[4]. Freyja was captured in one such village, after her brother took her to see real Halmes. Upon entering the mana forest that surrounds Vanaheimr, Myou comments on Freyja's boundless energy compared to her own exhaustion, and suggests breaking camp to cook for the refugees. She is the first to notice Frejya's kidnapping--stopped by Shan'naal's swift action, and it is revealed that Freyr van Niroenir, Freyja's older brother, had been following them. He speaks the Dark Elf tongue fluently, and agrees to lead them to the inner city as hanks for rescuing his sister[5].

Nightmare among the Vanir

While inside Vanaheimr, Freyr leads the group through the city to the palace for housing. Myou is particularly fascinated by the meticulous care given to the gardening throughout the nation. Unfortunately, Chirinide expresses concern for the atmosphere and declares that the drowussu must leave tomorrow, much to Myou's disappointment[6]. The refugees are herded into baths soon after; Mazo tells Myou that this scene is similar to what the drowolaths do to when processing new slaves--the others may have forgotten, but Mazo is wise enough to be on guard. Chirinide also expresses distrust of the light elves, having been feeling that her prescience is being interfered with, bu Myou assures her that there are many more who are just like Freyja[7]. However, after Shan returns to their room, Myou expresses that the societal structure in Vanaheimr is extreemly restrictive: they follow a strict caste system, where you are no allowed any form of upward mobility and there is no rebellion[8].

As soon as they fall asleep, the assassinations come--first, killing all of the light elf slaves they rescued, and then attempting to kill Chiri, Shan and Myou themselves. The three drowussu escape out the window, but Chirinide is captured by the living wood outside the palace--promptly setting everything on fire via embers. Myou and Shan leave her to find their things in a rush, but Myou warns the young man that now is not the time with assassins looking for them[9]. Freyr soon appears to call off the assassins and guide them to where he rescued Chirinide, explaining that his people do indeed follow orders without question, and that the leadership is blind to see potential within the drowussu guests. The same is not extended towards the light elf slaves, who are regarded as merely a stain that must be erased.

As they leave Vanaheimr, Myou is given a trinket by Freyr that will keep the mana forest at bay, as well as find caches of food on their journey back to the Underworld[10]. One month later in the year 1099, they arrive back at the Kyorl'solenurn Outpost, dirty but alive. Myou later happily sees the pair off as they return to Chel, during the Moon's End Festival[11].
