Biography - Arc II
Riz'riia, an amnesiac Highland Raider, appeared early on in Chapter 36 as a messenger for Quill'yate, bringing information to Suu'be.
Back to the Surface
Riz'riia later joined a squad led by Mira'linn escorting Ariel, Faen, Kau, Shala, Sar'nel, Chirinide, and Shan'naal to the surface. She and Synathra had to drag Ash'arion with them when he stopped to admire the mineral Chel's outer layer is made of. Along the way, they stop at the ruins of the Well of Light, where Relon'tar Sarghress gives his report on the merits of salvaging something from the ruins. Later, they arrive at Dariya'ko where the squad goes their separate ways to rest. There, she had received a message from Kai'to.
She accompanies Ariel with the squad to Ys, where she meets Kai'to and spends the night (and morning) with him, purchasing a red and orange dress to impress her mate.
Morning after the fires
She was in bed with Kaito when they heard Tur'geis and Ariel having an argument about the airship. They thought nothing of it. Kaito decided to let Riz keep the cloak but desires his shirt back. Riz teases him over it and they engage in morning banter before kissing.
During a meeting, Riz arrives late and tells Tur'geis that she’s taking leave to pursue the airship.
She left Ys for Felde alongside others who had also made the decision to go to Felde in pursuit of the airship. Before that though, Tur'geis tries to tell Riz'riia that she’s in charge of the group going to Felde but she denied the position and simply told Tur'geis to go to Chel to report what happened.
Outside of Moonless Age
Riz'riia first appeared in Relic Hunters as a mana specialist Highland Raider in the Marauders' squad.
Investigation of Felde
As the team heading for Felde traveled, they came across a Val'Sullisinrune plantation that had been ravaged by unknown forces. Ariel noted that they were moving further and further away from Chiri'nide and Shan'naal's monastery, and asked if they were okay with that. Chirinide commented that they had some time before the Vanir delegation was set to arrive. Surmising that the best place for survivors of the plantation ransacking to flee to would be Felde, they decided to press on.
Arriving at the port near Felde, they discovered that the tower at the center of the city was controlled by Snadhya'rune Vel'Sharen. Riz'riia immediately ordered them to return to Chel, unwilling to take on one of the "three dragons" and feeling that it was their duty to inform the clan and return with an army. Ariel and Syrak favored trying to gather more information about the airship, as it was the reason that they had come to Felde in the first place. Hoping to come to a compromise, Faen proposed going to Felde and simply asking to see the airship, as she had brought along the invitation that Lulianne had given Ariel. The others agreed, particularly after encountering Kyo'nne Val'Illhar'dro. As they followed her into the tower, she warned them not to stray.
Once settled in, the raiders separated; some stayed in their quarters while Riz'riia opted to investigate the large library located within the Felde tower. Some time later, she was arrested by Snadhya'rune's guards, who had been ordered to sweep Felde for any spies. Accused of "snooping" in the tower, Riz was brought before Snadhya'rune and her aborted dinner party.
To her shock, Ariel was also present and missing an arm. Snadhya'rune proceeded to order the guards to remove Riz's armor, and attempted to convince Ariel to absorb her fellow raider's arm as a replacement. Instead of doing as Snadhya'rune demanded, however, the young Sarghress refused, claiming that a true Sarghress doesn't steal from her comrades. Finding that Ariel was not about to change her mind, Snadhya'rune asked Mel'arnach to take Ariel and Faen to their quarters while she and her guards investigated the invaders that had begun attacking Felde, taking Riz'riia with her.
Witness To Snadhya'rune's Rage
Riz'riia was brought with the rest of Snadhya'rune's party of guards and lieutenants to her throne room, where they were confronted by a pair of Kavahini clan warriors and Mikilu'ligr Val'Dutan'vir. Still in restraints, Riz could only watch as the two factions battled, until Erelice Sarghress managed to sneak in during the chaos, stabbing Snadhya'rune in the back. The act enraged the First Daughter, who took out her frustration on the nearby Kavahini warriors. Lulianne, now revealed as being possessed by Khaless, had in the meantime stabbed herself in an attempt to fight off the control of the shapeshifting demon. The act ejected Khaless from Lulianne's body, forcing her to seek out another host - with Riz again in the crosshairs, as the nearest potential host. In one last act of sacrifice, Ere'lice intervened, goading Khaless to take her instead.
Escape From Felde
A short time later, Riz'riia stumbled out of the throne room, running into Ariel and the other raiders. When asked what had happened, Riz nervously replied that she couldn't remember. The group made their escape, joining forces with Kiel'ndia Vel'Vloz'ress and her party to escape Felde.
After their return to the Sarghress Fortress, Riz'riia resigned from the Highland Raiders, reportedly in tears as she did so. It is unknown whether she was absorbed by Khaless during the aftermath of the throne room battle or whether she actually made it out with no consequences other than lost memories.
"Are you retarded, Val'Sarghress? This is the lair of one of the three dragons, the biggest, most filthy rich and powerful of the three!" - - To Ariel Val'Sarghress, attempting to convince her to leave Felde and return to report their findings to the clan.
"We've come here to find something. We've found it. Now it falls to the legions to muster the biggest motherkilling army in underworld history to raze that goddess forsaken tower." - To Ariel Val'Sarghress, attempting to convince her to leave Felde and return to report their findings to the clan.
