History

The Sullisin'rune clan is one of the oldest in Chel'el'Sussoloth, next to the powerful Sharen Clan. It was around at the time of Chel'el'Sussoloth's founding, making it nearly a millenium old - at least - and one of the most influential seats on the drow council. As far as recognition in the history books, however, their signature has not been one of major shattering impact; instead, their influence on the history of the Underworld is written in the silences.

The Sullisin'rune hand is always present in the politics of Chel'el'Sussoloth, and must be taken into consideration when any Clan seeks to make moves. It was likely the Sullisin'rune's support which factored heavily in allowing Quain'tana's organized armies to be recognized as the Val'Sarghess Clan without an all-out Clan War, and the withdrawl of that support could prove to be - while not going so far as to undo their status as a Great Clan - troublesome for the Sarghress. It is possible that the hostility between the Sullisin'rune and the Sharen royal family stems from this event.

An ancient and decadent group, the Sullisin'rune's agenda does not seem to be well-communicated, and it seems to be interested in keeping a balance between the Clans and does not discriminate in its tolerance of other Clans, though it appears that manners and behavior factor heavily in this outlook (which is indicated by their general hostility towards the Vel'Vloz'ress). While they are currently allied with the Sarghess, there is no guarantee the Sullisin'rune will back or assist in the event that tensions between the Val'Sarghress and Vel'Sharen leads to war.

Philosophy

An alternative Sullisin'rune symbol.

The Sullisin'rune Clan seems to be even more open-minded when it comes to sexuality. They are reknowned for their parties, which often become orgies, and in general seem to be about enjoying the pleasures of life. Individuals invited to such parties are expected to leave their predjudices at the door, and participate in the spirit of open relationships. As nobody wants to offend or incur the wrath of the Clan, they behave or don't show.

If anything can be said about the Sullisin'rune, it's that they're patient. The Clan has no qualms with sitting back, waiting and watching for an opportune moment to act. As it has been around for so long, it appears to be confident in its ability to outlast others.

Clan Fortress

The Sulissin'rune fortress is an enchanted dome with golden latticework. It has layers upon layers of ancient enchantments stacked to protect it from attack, and it's entrances are fiercely guarded by Sullisin'rune guards. The protection of its citizenry is the primary goal of the fortress, and they have been very successful in that area.
