The original wiki was set to be shut down and the wiki was largely mirrored to a Fandom-based version, though most of the reference images had not yet been copied over. This migration was put on hold when it appeared the original wiki could in fact be retained, however the old wiki was lost in its entirety when the server was among the many taken down by a massive series of cyberattacks on data centers during early February, 2023. It is now being rebuilt with the launch of Hel. Sorry if it's a little messy right now!

<section begin=feature />Akumu'keshi is one of the surviving remnants of the Val'Dutan'vir clan, now a member of Ariel's Wolfpack.<section end=feature />
Recorded History
The Nidraa'chal ascended from unknown origins to the status of a lesser clan roughly around the year 1030. They immediately coined the term “ver'drowendar” to define their tainted natures as a new, superior race, and nearly immediately set about spreading their influence. For fifty years the Nidraa'chal propagated, finding and assimilating sympathizers among nearly every clan with promises of power and racial ascension.

Appearance & Personality
The threat of the Nidraa'chal were not lost on the Vals of Chel'el'sussoloth. Various clans took interest in opposing their spread but no single clan could garner cooperation from the others. Even Diva'ratrika Val'Sharen's attempt to muster a combined offensive was seen merely as a political ploy. It wasn't until the Val'Sharess formerly called for the arrest of the Nidraa'chal and other tainted figureheads in 1082 that a more unified front was presented to the offending clan. This decision put the Nidraa'chal on the defensive, and the resulting tension spawned conflict in every aspect of society from the commoners all the way to the Val clans.
Akumu'keshi is a somewhat shorter female mixblood with golden eyes. She has long silver hair that flows down to her hips. She is quite cheerful with a hobby of both reading and writing. In particular, she takes great joy in "shipping" those around her, even with the most unlikely of pairings. She wears white plate armor adorned with the symbols of House Mae'yukir and, after joining the colony of Machike, has taken to wearing a heavy brown cloak for additional warmth.

Biography - Arc II
Rallied by their collective opposition the Nidraa'chal had coalesced into a unified front, opening nether gates with reckless abandon and bolstering their armies with the corrupted bodies of unfortunate bystanders. Fortunately they still could not stand up to the power of the Val clans which, though divided, managed to crush the ver'drowendar in what few numbers they had in most of the territories. The majority of the Nidraa'chal  had gathered in the district of the Val'Sharess tower where they were met with the full might of the Sharen army as well as what little remained of the Val'Dutan'vir.

Kyorl'solenurn Siege
Akumu'keshi was first seen as one of the many that responded to Minka's call to reclaim the ancestral Dutan'vir lands. A member of the Sarghress group that had split off from the clan to rejoin the Dutan'vir, she took part in the defense of the Dutan'vir Fortress against the Kyorl'solenurn siege. Having taken a brief respite from the battle to work on her journal, she noted to a passing Minka that he should have his wounded arm tended to. As he irritably suggested she instead check on her Sarghress friends, she snapped back that they had all gone rogue, and she did not control them.

Several moments later, while making a note in her journal to pair Minka and Sker'ligr, she chanced upon a Kyorl'solenurn force that had scaled the walls of the fortress and breached the tower with earth sorcery. Throwing her journal at the Kyorl'solenurn squad's leader as a distraction, she fled to alert the rest of the Dutan'vir of the infiltration of the upper levels. Quickly encountering Sker, Minka, and Mal'ligr, she rallied with the rest of the Dutan'vir and began chasing down the scattering Kyorl'solenurn force. As Minka, Mal, and Akumu stood before a surrendering Satsicia, Akumu worryingly wondered who had remained to guard the main gate.
The combat between the Nidraa'chal and the Sharen was a monumental engagement, but by its end the ver'drowendar lie defeated, though not without dealing heavy losses to their opponents including the eradication of the Dutan'vir. Much of their official history ends at this point, the faction believed to be exterminated.

Ultimately, the Dutan'vir were forced to surrender when the Kyorl'solenurn caused the partial collapse of the fortress onto the district below, killing Sker. Akumu was seen among the captured survivors. As a Dutan'vir that had not served among the Kyorl'solenurn, she would have been publicly executed alongside many of her fellow clan members had Anahid not ascended to power and taken her clan along a more forgiving path.
Despite their demise, they left an enormous footprint upon Chel'el'sussoloth. Massive swaths of the city were abandoned during the conflict, much of which still lies empty and unclaimed. The previous conventions that once bound clan warfare were blatantly disregarded by the Nidraa'chal as they corrupted neutral parties to channel their demonic minions, proving the laws to be far from infallible. And most notably they revived the old fears of demonic mana and nether beings, bringing them once again to the forefront of attention as very real threats.

Return of Mikilu
Actual History
Days later, Akumu assisted in recovering supplies to rebuild, alongside Vara'nin and Mal. She briefly considered checking the ruins of the buildings upon which the fallen tower had collapsed, though Mal noted that it was likely that looters had already done so. As she moved to assist the much-smaller Vara'nin with the heavier objects, a nearby wall was warped with earth sorcery and Mal dragged within. As she rushed to his aid, the three Dutan'vir came face-to-face with Mikilu'ligr Val'Dutan'vir, sole remaining heir of Ill'haress Sannindi'ligr. Though Mikilu had initially assumed the Sarghress forces to be part of a hostile occupation, the trio were able to inform her of the recent peace forged by Anahid, as well as the arrival of House Mae'yukir to join the Dutan'vir while the Sarghress resolved their internal power struggle.
The Nidraa'chal were no independent clan of sadistic demon summoners; they were tools, a creation of Snadhya'rune Vel'Sharen with the knowledge she gained about tainted man through her research beside Sha'sana and augmented with post-conception input from the Vel'Vloz'ress. They are the result of her schemes, her secret underlings in the manipulation of the political environment to suit her own ends.

Reassured, Mikilu was escorted into the fortress by the three soldiers. There, she reunited with Minka while Akumu watched with a satisfied smile.
Though the Nidraa'chal were supposedly crushed during their uprising, their mission was in fact completed marvelously. By placing heavy priority upon influencing members of the Val'Dutan'vir in the midst of already turbulent inner-clan politics they set the very stage for the clan to tear itself apart when Diva'ratrika made her decree of opposition. The final nail was placed in the clan's coffin with the assassination of Ill'haress Sannindi'ligr Val'Dutan'vir in the midst of the conflict. The second function of the Nidraa'chal during the uprising was to draw away the forces of the Val'Sharen from the tower of the Val'Sharess, minimizing the witnesses to Diva'ratrika's attempted murder, a task carried out by Snadhya'rune and her conspiring sisters Zala'ess and Sarv'swati in person.

The aftermath of these careful plans resulted in the secret usurpation of Diva'ratrika Val'Sharen with the three conspiring sisters essentially ruling the clan in her name. Yet the schemes of Snadhya'rune go deeper. Nidraa'chal operatives remain in many of the clans of Chel'el'sussoloth and recently were seen fanning the flames of rebellion in Nuqrah'shareh, but with the exception of the uprising their goals as well as Snadhya'rune's remained a hotly-debated mystery, until she revealed her ambitions to all at her party in Felde.
Biography - Arc III
Defense of Machike
At some point during the next three years, Akumu'keshi had moved to the surface colony of Machike'Shikumo along with her friends Mal'ligr and Vara'nin. When the Hermionne launched an assault upon the colony in the year 1117 MA, she fought to defend it. She was seen battling alongside Ischa, whose quick use of her metal sorcery spared Akumu what would otherwise have been a severe wound.

Following the defeat of the Hermionne, the colony once more came under attack, this time by the airship under the control of Nidraa'chal agents. After abandoning the colony and fending off the airship with a captured cannon, the colonists fell back to the underground portion of Machike. As the airship returned for another attack, Akumu was nearly killed when a blast destroyed the roof of the building she was standing on, with Akumu most likely managing to avoid injury from the fall by using her air sorcery.
Notable Event: The Vel'Sharen Coup d'État
Flight to Sha'shi
Notable Event: The Nidraa'chal Conspiracy
Unable to contest the airship as it rained destruction down upon the colony, Akumu regrouped with the majority of the other combat-capable survivors with the goal of luring the airship away from the rest of the colony. As Ariel had encountered a Mimaneid scout, the battered survivors descended deeper into the Mist Sea, approaching the city of Felde. There, they watched from the shadows as an Alliance convoy came under attack by a Kavahini patrol. Though the Kavahini were driven off, their leader was able to locate the colonists and Ariel negotiated a tentative alliance, with Kel'noz suggesting the survivors head to the city of Sha'shi.

Upon their arrival, the colonists had scant time to recuperate before the airship arrived at the city, unaware of its quarry's presence. Realizing their opportunity, Akumu participated as the colonists prepared to launch a surprise attack while the airship remained moored. Though not without difficulty, the attack was a success, and the colonists succeeded in downing the airship and evicting the crew, intent on repairing the vessel and turning it upon their enemies.
Notable Event: Nuqrah'shareh Civil War
Taking the Battle to Felde
Notable Event: The Flower Plague
With the main body of the Sarghress now also pursuing them, the decision was made to use the airship to attack Felde directly, alongside the Kavahini forces and the Highland Raiders. The plan, which involved luring the Sarghress Legion into Felde where they might battle the local garrison, was quickly derailed as a mana blast damaged one of the airships engines and forced a crash landing into the docking pier of Snadhya'rune's personal tower.

Intent on carrying on with the plan despite this setback, the Wolfpack forces disembarked and launched an assault to secure the tower. Akumu took part in this battle personally, nearly being crushed by a Jaal'darya golem before being saved by Vual'raisa and her own golem.
Notable Event: Felde Gathering
Notable Event: The District War
"Many of us have blood ties with the Dutan'vir, or can at least sympathize with the other half-bloods." - explaining the defection of the Mae'yukir House to Mikilu'ligr.

Character Concept
Culture and Politics
<gallery>
The supposed philosophy of the Nidraa'chal is a focus on bettering the present and future as opposed to lingering among the traditions of the past. The public image of them is vastly different and much more horrifying though; they were characterized by and far most colorfully by their complete lack of compassion for life, gleefully slaughtering others or worse, using them as unwilling vessels for their demonic minions. The group has no culture but the dogma of "Freedom from the oppressive past through mastery of the taint".

Equally as redundant are their political ties. The Nidraa'chal were once and still remain the minions of Snadhya'rune Vel'Sharen, but are recognized now by the majority of the world as an annihilated force that survives only in rumors.
