- This wiki is very much under construction. The original wiki was set to be shut down and the wiki was largely mirrored to a Fandom-based version, though most of the reference images had not yet been copied over. This migration was put on hold when it appeared the original wiki could in fact be retained, however the old wiki was lost in its entirety when the server was among the many taken down by a massive series of cyberattacks on data centers during early February, 2023. It is now being rebuilt with the launch of Hel. Sorry if it's a little messy right now!

The former headmistress of the Kyorl school at the Orthorbbae, and briefly the 11th elected Ill'haress of the clan.

Appearance and Personality

Valla'drielle is a pale green-haried drowussu who sports a fiery rhetoric about exterminating tainted and corrupted when tasked with educating the clan's youth. The most unusual feature about her is that she is blind, but has a functional third eye on her forehead--some say it is a blessing from Sharess herself. Valla'drielle lost her purple cape and black and white robes in favor of wearing her new Ill'haress uniform of black cape and white robes.

Biography - Arc I

She is seen teaching Drowussu children a message heavily with propaganda against tainted and nether summoners, encouraging the Kyorl children to purge and kill the unworthy. When Chirinide comes to retrieve Shan'naal from her class, Valla'drielle offers her counsel about the girl's visions. She is aware of the importance of Chirinide's journey to the surface[1].

Biography - Arc II

Valla'drielle is chosen by the Judicators to become the next Ill'haress[2], but is met with resistance by Thral'lin Kyorl'solenurn and Belph'aegor Kyorl'solenurn who claim her ascension into the position is a farce, not knowing it is the Judicators who truly chose who is to be the next leader. They insist that the Judicators overstep their bounds when Shimi'lande had assigned a woman trained in the Order of Serenity's monastery to lead the clan. Valla'drielle is confused about the situation, but assures the Holy Lances that they may come to her to ease their fears whenever they wish.

The Dutan'vir Offensive

Valla'drielle's wachful eye.

During The District War, Valla'drielle leads clan forces in a siege on the Dutan'vir remnants who had deserted the Sarghress and Kyorl'solenurn to become their own clan again. The rebels held many clan members hostage, and would not negotiate peace, so the Holy Mother declared that the Dutan'vir should meet a swift defeat[3]. However, all operations are interrupted when the Vel'Vloz'ress-summoned tide of demons arrive, prompting sealers to defend the Kyorl troops[4], and soon, Kharla'ggen's empathic attack held every fae creature at bay. Troops fell upon themselves, but not before moving to protect Valla'drielle from harm.

Once the empath control had faded, the war resumed. An assassination was attempted on her life, but thanks to an explosion on one of the Dutan'vir towers, the crossbow bolt missed Valla'drielle's head by mere centimeters. Despite nearly being killed, the Illhar'ess remained calm enough to scold Chime and Merril'lin for their lack of foresight for helping the war effort[5]. When infiltration of the fortress succeeds, many Dutan'vir are flushed out and captured--among them, Minka whom Valla calls for an execution of[6].

The Arrival of Anahid

A conflict of interests.

Valla'drielle was soon faced with the scandal arising from a woman from the Order of Serentiy claiming to be Shimi'lande's successor for the Holy Mother title, as well as a string of murders of prominent members of the clergy, including most of the high-ranking Judicators. Valla sought an audience with Snadhya'rune Vel'Sharen, who had come to petition the Dutan'vir captives to be spared the sword[7]. By now, Chirinide had arrived, and agreed that they should be freed, which Valla'drielle eventually agreed to--but the leaders must be publicly punished. Chirinide then urges the Holy Mother to hold talks with Anahid to alleviate the clan strife spreading throughout Kyorl lands, but was promptly refused by her, and ordered to be barred in her room until further notice. Valla'drielle would not meet with a pretender.

In her garden, Valla'drielle was confronted by Chirinide, Chime, Merril'lin and Yakuise, who all demanded that she immediately relinquish the title of Holy Mother to Anahid[8]. Frustrated, Valla'drielle demands obesiance from her seers, stating that the Kyorl are the last safe place for drowussu to live, in the face of slavers, the corrupted, and traitors to the clan. Valla'drielle needed the people to stand together in strength in the face of the District War raging outside their borders. Soon, a chorus of singing led by Anahid's faithful arrived at the front gates, and soon Shan'naal and Judicator Kousei, who explains the truth: Valla'drielle didn't order any of the assassinations, but knew about it. He also stated that his fellow Judicators tried to control her like the previous Holy Mothers, but failed. His suggestion was for the older generations like he and Valla to give way to a new leadership, and let them try their hand at guiding the clan[9]. It is revealed by her guardian El'ysia that the sacrifices of the people weighed heavily on Valla'drielle, and she held her own against the many threats that would see the drowussu people destroyed.

At last, Valla'drielle agrees to abdicate, but not without a warning that Anahid needed to know how to lead such a headstrong and divisive group as the Kyorl'solenurn quickly, or else[10]. When the order is given to free the Dutan'vir captives, Valla'drielle is almost killed by Minka, who stops at the last moment when remembering Anahid's words about forgiveness[11].
