Sate'ja Vel'Sharen
Sate'ja was a teacher of nether summoning at the Orthorbbae. She is of Nishi'kanta Vel'Sharen's line.
Appearance and Personality
Sate'ja is a capable user of the mana arts. She is of Nishi'kanta's line, but possesses an affinity for ice sorcery. She wears red clothing with gold jewelry, and she has faint tattooed marking running down the right side of her face.
The real Sate'ja was killed when Faen accidentaly wiped her mind blank. However, Snadhya'rune created a summon from her aura and somehow created a new body for her, effectively replacing the old Sate'ja with a new summon version that looked and behaved exactly the same.
Biography - Arc I
Faen's Breakdown
Sate'ja taught summoning classes at the Orthorbbae under the direction of Snadhya'rune Vel'Sharen. Among her students were Chrys'tel Vel'Sharen, Shinae Vel'Sharen, Naal'suul Val'Beldrobbaen, Kiel'ndia Vel'Vloz'ress, and Nihi'liir Vel'Sharen. Chrys'tel was concerned about her roommate, Faen, and she approached Sate'ja with a request to perform a tainting ceremony for her. Sate'ja accepted this and made the necessary arrangements.
Faen agreed with the tainting process at first, but grew exceedingly nervous as the class neared the chamber. She began to shake as her empathy spiraled out of control, so Nihi'liir slapped her hard to snap her out of it it. Sate'ja tried to intervene, but as she approached Faen her empathy spiked, causing Faen to black out entirely. Her empathy destroyed Nihi'liir's arm and wiped Sate'ja's mind completely, leaving her a lifeless husk.
Orthorbbae's Secrets
Her body was stored by Snadhya'rune in a hidden freezer in the basement of the school. However, a summon was created from her aura, and a duplicate of her body was formed to store it. She was brought back as a teacher, but the school's faculty and student population were told that she had simply made a full recovery after the attack.
This was only discovered when Chrys'tel, Naal'suul, Kiel'ndia, Shinae, Nau'kheol, and Khal'harror started to investigate the school's basement in an attempt to discover the secrets of the Vel'Sharen clan. The found Sate'ja's body just as the Sate'ja summon appeared to protect the freezer. She attacked her former students with a mixture of ice sorcery and nether, badly injuring Shinae and Chrys'tel. When Nau sliced her midsection open, he damaged a part of her core. She pulled the damaged piece from inside her, revealing her true nature to the horrified children. She took Nau'kheol's sword and struck Naal'suul through the chest, fatally wounding her.
Naal'suul knew she was doomed, so she released her seed to protect the others. She immediately transformed into a glutton demon and devoured Sate'ja's body as the rest of the group fled.
