Asira'malika Val'Jaal'darya

Asira'malika is the eccentric Ill'haress of the clan, and is a pioneer of the clan's secretive bioengineering techniques.
Appearance and Personality
Asira'malika is a crafty drowolath whoes wits enabled her clan to survive the difficult trek from her homeland of Damadi to the current home of Chel'el'sussoloth. She is the master of the Jaal'darya life sciences that use mana to warp lifeforms into nearly anything the user desires.
She dresses scantily with cream robes decorated with sun patterns adorning her arms and waist, whereas her stomach is bare and her chest is held up with bronze gear decorated in a swirl patter. The Jaal'darya sports a similar bronze headgear worn over magenta hair, and her neck is covered in metal rings. The most odd feature about the Illhar'ess however is her altered appearance: yellow irises with red whites, and white patches around her eyes, cheeks, fingers and ear tips. She also appears to be pregnant.
Biography - Arc I
The Council Meeting
The pregnant Illhar'ess is the first to call out the absence of Quain'tana Val'Sarghress at the Illhar'ess Council meeting, pointing out that without their presence they'd all might as well stop right now[1]. She scoffs at Waes'soloth's overly cautious nature about comparing Thalamani to the trouble brewing under the Moon's End festival, but even Asira cannot ignore the impending population crisis looming over the city. She recalls Shifaye'sindil[2], and how that northeastern city came to its end by overpopulation, lack of resources, and finally razing by Siyah'khorshed tribes--the Jaal'darya Illhar'ess warns the other leaders that Chel'el'Sussoloth should aim to move forward whether the Val'Sharess or the Goddess orders them to go or not, or face the same fate.
She declares that her people will not risk doing down this path and will strive to be one step ahead of the next big threat to hit the Underworld. Zala'ess Vel'Sharen tries to calm Asira by stating that once the little things are taking care of the city can start looking at the next step, but Asira'malika counters that this very thing is what the clans have been doing for hundreds of years. They have been sitting around postponing for tomorrow. Time does not wait for anyone and the clans will be swept away if they don't mobilize now.
Zala'ess earns Asira'malika's ire by continuing to argue for the clans to focus inward, against Illhar'esses Nega'fanea Val'Illhar'dro and Rel'lumia Val'Nal'sarkoth who argue for expansion to the surface. The reason for colonization is that both leaders express the rumors that later generations are being born disfigured, of which the Jaal'darya mockingly asks if they're afraid of giving birth to Xuile'solen. Nega'fanea counters with her fears of the drow pupolations becoming a diseased people over time from being in the underworld's mists for so long.
Later, after a dispute between Zala'ess and Shimi'lande Val'Kyorl'solenurn over the Sharen's hatred for the Val'Sarghress, Asira'malika ponders if these meeting were just tools for the ruling clan to exact their will on the other great clans, calling for an end to the meetings[3]. Zala'ess threatens them with a reminder that their clans owe fealty to the Vel'Sharen, and rebel clans will be swiftly dealt with. This exchange worries Sarv'swati who believes that the Sarghress' continued existence emboldens smaller clans like the Jaal'darya.
Biography - Arc II
Due to Sarghress intruders discovering Femi's laboratory and part of her plans of spreading the parasitic flower throughout Chel, Asira'malika's hand is forced to take action[4]. This is reflected in Ash'waren's fears of Jaal'darya reprisal [5].
Asira ordered her experts to reach out to Zala'ess' family and the Val'Beldrobbaen clan in an effort to mitigate the damage done by Femi's flower spore plague[6]. However this gift is not shared with the Val'Sarghress, whom Asira no longer holds in higher regard. When the call to gather the clan leaders was issued, the Illhar'ess sends a mere biogolem to represent Jaal'darya interests--the golem relays Asira's concerns about the Sarghress occupation and the dissolution of order in the wake of The District War[7]. The biogolem also snubs Quain'tana Val'Sarghress's threats when the latter attempted to assault the biogoem; her words came witha very real warning that the Jaal'darya will retaliate if the Sarghress move against them.
