- This wiki is very much under construction. The original wiki was set to be shut down and the wiki was largely mirrored to a Fandom-based version, though most of the reference images had not yet been copied over. This migration was put on hold when it appeared the original wiki could in fact be retained, however the old wiki was lost in its entirety when the server was among the many taken down by a massive series of cyberattacks on data centers during early February, 2023. It is now being rebuilt with the launch of Hel. Sorry if it's a little messy right now!

Kau'shala was a son and adjutant of Sil'lice, slain during the Nidraa'chal war just before Sil'lice's battle with Kalki.

Appearance and Personality

Kau'shala was a fairly nondescript drow with few distinguishing physical features beyond blue eyes. Most notably, he was his hair in a topknot with free-hanging bangs dyed blue. He was a fairly grim and thoughtful individual, showing a much greater degree of restraint than his mother. In particular, he did not share her love of battle and violence, disagreeing with her early prediction that the war would be "fun".

Biography

Kau'shala first appeared during events of the Nidraa'chal War, roughly 15 years prior to the main story. He marched into battle alongside his mother, serving as a field tactician.[1] He continued to advise and support her as the war progressed into a bloody guerilla war. He was still at her side when Sil'lice was confronted by her niece, Kalki, and was surprised by the revelation of kinship.

As Kalki offered to spare their lives in exchange for their surrender, Kau'shala defiantly struck at the Nidraa'chal captain with his sword. He then began to rally their forces against the surrounding enemy forces. However, this defiance was met with quick retaliation by Kalki, who channeled nether towards Sil'lice's warband's last dragon, Mahalek. The possessed mount violently bit into Kau'shala without warning, nearly bisecting him at the waist. His last sight before dying was Kalki taunting his mother.
