- This wiki is very much under construction. The original wiki was set to be shut down and the wiki was largely mirrored to a Fandom-based version, though most of the reference images had not yet been copied over. This migration was put on hold when it appeared the original wiki could in fact be retained, however the old wiki was lost in its entirety when the server was among the many taken down by a massive series of cyberattacks on data centers during early February, 2023. It is now being rebuilt with the launch of Hel. Sorry if it's a little messy right now!

Val'Chai'tioc

From Drowtales
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Once numbered among the Great Clans of Chel'el'Sussoloth, the Val'Chai'tioc were utterly destroyed in a disastrous war with the Val'Sharen, leaving nothing behind but crumbling ruins.

Culture and Politics

Little has been shown of the culture of the Val'Chai'tioc, though it is known that the clan were renowned for the their talents in golem engineering, rivaling and even perhaps exceeding that of the Balvhakara.[1]

History

Little is known of the Val'Chai'tioc clan's history. While powerful enough to stand as one of the Great Clans, they were thoroughly crushed in a brutal war against the Val'Sharen. Whatever the cause of that conflict, it is clear that Diva'ratrika was not satisfied with merely defeating the clan, instead overseeing its utter destruction. This is notable, as even the Val'Sullisin'rune were allowed to retain some of their former territory and power after being defeated in their own war with the Val'Sharen.

Clan Fortresses and Properties

The ruins of the Val'Chai'tioc lie in the western-most districts of Chel, between the Vloz'ress district and Orthorbbae. It is now inhabited by an assortment of refugees and outcasts, with no real form of governance or stability.[2]
