This wiki is very much under construction. The original wiki was set to be shut down and the wiki was largely mirrored to a Fandom-based version, though most of the reference images had not yet been copied over. This migration was put on hold when it appeared the original wiki could in fact be retained, however the old wiki was lost in its entirety when the server was among the many taken down by a massive series of cyberattacks on data centers during early February, 2023. It is now being rebuilt with the launch of Hel. Sorry if it's a little messy right now!
Val'Kyorl'solenurn
Purity, discipline and zeal: these are the calling cards of the Val’Kyorl’solenurn, the only remaining Val drowussu clan. Indoctrinated at birth, clan members are brought up to actively despise and purge impurities from Chel'el'sussoloth and the world. Nothing draws their hatred more than demonic influences, making them the bane of the tainted Vel clans. To be in their favor is to find security and compassion; to embrace the profane is to be given no quarter.
History
Details on the rise of the Kyorl’solenurn stem from the end of the Moons Age, where the warring tribes of light and dark worked to cease their conflict and combat the demon hordes, if only for a moment. The Kyorl ancestors are virtually the only survivors of a massive light elven diaspora from ancient Vanir nations in the northeastern region of the rim of the Nidavellir. The people sought to follow Sharess' dark elven people into the mists by her decree--migrating to as far away as Damadi in the east to Nuqrah'shareh in the west--but as the drow expanded, old hatred rose again and many of the light elves and their descendants fell by drowolath hands. The only traces that remain of these poor souls lie in those ssu who live the life of slavery and the mixed bloodlines in the eastern region (such as the Tei'kaliath clan, who descend from one such city of mixed races).
As the sole drowussu clan with the title of Val, their racial solidarity undoubtedly appears attractive to grey-skinned hopefuls. The fall of the Val'Dutan'vir during the Nidraa’chal uprising saw many of its former members joining the ranks of the Kyorl’solenurn, increasing the clan’s strength even further. The Val'Kyorl'solenurn clan is increasingly becoming militaristic: teaching their children the art of war, building walls to protect themselves from the warring drowolath clans, and waiting for the moment the new Empress rises to march against their old racial enemy.
After the events of a schism that occurred during The District War, ideologies shifted from warmongering to peaceful negotiations.
Culture and Politics
The Kyorl’solenurn are a very different clan compared to others, possessing a unique culture that impacts everything from social structure to diplomatic ties. At their core the Kyorl’solenurn are staunch followers of their own religious doctrine that venerates the spirit of Sharess. Core to their faith is the acknowledgement that Sharess sacrificed her body to seal the demonic forces unleashed during the Great Wars, and it is the duty of all drow to keep the barrier between the two worlds intact and purge any hints of demonic essence that might pass through.
Championing their mission to keep the material world free of impurity, the clan is most infamously known for their convictional, often overzealous drive to achieve these ends. Ver’droendar that encounter the Kyorl’solenurn, even in the midst of their everyday routines, can expect an immediate attempt on their lives unless they are adequately protected or outnumber their assailants. Those of untainted auras who consort with tainted are captured and “cleansed,” a form of brainwashing that wipes away any positive associations with the demon infested. Any who bear the taint must be hunted down regardless of guilt; though they have purged countless demon summoners from the world their blades have also fallen mercilessly upon plenty of those who harbor demon seeds unwillingly. A Kyorl’solenurn similarly defiled is expected to take their own life, and many a Templar or Warden has more than willingly fallen upon their own blade.
Due to recent, drastic policy changes championed by the newest Holy Mother Anahid, tainted members of the clan are forgiven and even allowed to return to the Kyorl'solenurn lands. This sudden change of perspective is not without its dissidents who still see the tainted as extremdly dangerous.
Though far from hermits like the Val'Jaal'darya, the Kyorl’solenurn have a preference to keep to themselves. Nearly every member of the clan is a drowussu, the exceptions going to a rare few drowussu-drowolath half-bloods who generally must work harder to advance due to the clan’s pervasive xenophobia. Soldiers on patrol have a strong tendency to posture themselves as coolly professional, but as there are no axioms barring welfare, altruism is not uncommon.
Obviously the clan’s headstrong opposition to anything demonic has put them it at violent odds with the Vel clans of Chel'el'sussoloth. Though the might and authority of the Sharen prevent open conflict between the two, the Vel’Vloz’ress find themselves in frequent, vicious contention with the drowussu clan. Their relations with the Val clans are much more cordial, but truly strong diplomatic ties are meager. Few are willing to let their own political interactions be influenced by an ally that differentiates friend from enemy by the color of their eyes.
The Kyorl'solenurn sport various Orders that serve to preserve the Kyorl structure and systems of orderly functioning. Kyorl'solenurn Orders are many, and their members serve various roles, such as Templars, Wardens, and Inquisitors. While unknown to most of the population, every sealer in the Orders can be a Velnari at a moment's notice--those who are untainted nether summoners, like Ky'ovarde.

The Orders
The Kyorl’solenurn has a unique clan structure. The various Templar, Inquisitors and Wardens all serve within one of a number of orders, each run by Judicator. The cabinet that these Judicators compose of is the true power behind the clan, electing the Ill’haress and advising her on how to lead. And though it is ultimately the Ill’haress who makes the decisions that move the clan forward she is all too aware that the Judicators have the authority to replace her if she veers too far from their goals. In short, she is the head of all Orders.
